Who Runs This Site

My name is Rob Bailes. I’m based in Maryland and I built RadonSafetyGuide.com because the process of finding a qualified radon professional is harder than it should be.

Most homeowners discover they need radon testing or mitigation during a real estate transaction or after reading about radon health risks. They search online, fill out a form, and immediately get bombarded with calls from three to five contractors competing for the same job. It’s stressful, confusing, and wastes everyone’s time — including the contractors’.

I wanted to build something better: a site where homeowners get connected to one vetted professional who actually serves their area, and where contractors receive exclusive leads worth their time.

How It Works

For homeowners: You fill out a short quote request form. We match you with one certified radon professional in your area. That professional calls you directly — usually within 15 minutes during business hours. Your information is never sold to multiple companies.

For contractors: We partner with NRPP- and NRSB-certified radon professionals who serve Maryland and Pennsylvania. Each lead is exclusive to one contractor per territory. No shared leads, no competing bids. If you’re a certified radon professional interested in receiving leads, contact us.

What We Stand For

Honest positioning. We clearly state on every page that we are not a radon mitigation company. We connect homeowners with professionals who are.

Certified professionals only. We work with contractors who hold certification through the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) or the National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) — the two nationally recognized certification bodies for radon professionals.

One provider, not five. Your information goes to one contractor. Period. No selling your data to the highest bidder.

Real urgency. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, responsible for approximately 21,000 deaths per year according to the EPA. This isn’t a scare tactic — it’s why we built this site.
